The ACT Industrial sensor cables (actor cables) are provided with a TPE (Thermo Plastic Elastomer) sheath and are therefore highly resistant to mechanical loads such as movements in a chain. The connectors are overmoulded TPE and degree of protection is IP67.
Ultraflex cable, each individual core consists of 41 strands of copper that together form a diameter of AWG24. This makes the cable more flexible than, for example, a standard AWG24/7 patch cable.
Stranded conductors are build up of uninsulated thin strands of wire twisted together.
How greater the number of strands in a stranded conductor, the greater the flexibility of the wire.
